Together we’ve built a rich tradition of coming together in Princeton to create a one-of-a-kind race day experience.
The HiTOPS Princeton Half is not only an awesome race, it is HiTOPS’ single largest fundraising event each year. Race proceeds and fundraising efforts go a long way to support the work we do with young people throughout New Jersey. So, while 2020 looked a bit different, we thank you for going the distance for all youth.
We had 521 Virtual Race participants and 65 participants in our new Youth Run.
Participants joined us from 20 states, with one runner joining us from China.
427 New Jerseyans went the distance for all youth.
Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, and California rounded out our top five states.
Fannie Chen was the largest Individual Fundraiser in the history of the race!
Like many of you, it is our hope to return to live, in-person events in 2021. Planning for the HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon under normal circumstances begins in December with registration opening in February. As you might imagine, running 13.1 miles through Princeton requires coordination with multiple entities including the Township, Princeton University, the State Park Commission, the Department of Transportation, local clergy, and now state and local health officials. We understand that it is near impossible to know what November of 2021 will look like regarding live events being permitted and the size of those events. At this time, we are working hard to establish all options and contingent plans to prepare for all scenarios. Our goal is to host an all virtual or a combination of a live and virtual event in November of 2021.
